WordPress Import Checklist
Before import
- Confirm a current site backup exists.
- Confirm the WordPress site timezone is correct.
- Decide whether the ten posts should remain drafts or be scheduled.
- If scheduling, choose the first publication date and interval.
- Confirm the intended WordPress author account.
Import
- Upload and activate
The-Line-That-Vanished-WordPress-Importer-v1.0.0.zip. - Open Tools → The Line That Vanished.
- Select Draft, Schedule, or Publish.
- Click Import or Update All Ten Articles once.
- Read the result notice and confirm all ten parts are listed.
Post-import verification
- Confirm ten posts exist and no duplicates were created.
- Confirm every post has the correct part number, title, slug, excerpt, categories, and tags.
- Confirm the single shared image appears as the featured image on all ten posts.
- Confirm the image caption says it is an editorial illustration and not a facsimile.
- Open Parts 1, 5, 8, and 10 and spot-check Greek forms, tables, block quotations, and bottom notes.
- Confirm each top and bottom navigation block links to the series category and adjacent articles.
- Confirm Parts 4 and 5 are scheduled consecutively.
- Confirm the theme does not display duplicate featured images above the post body.
- Clear page, object, and CDN caches after the final review.
After approval
- Deactivate and delete the importer plugin.
- Keep the package ZIP as the reproducible source.
- Do not delete the shared image from the Media Library; all ten posts reference the same attachment.
