Documented Timeline

  1. Earlier in 2015 — Reformed Bibliology precursor. Before establishing Confessional Bibliology under its present name, Chris Thomas created an earlier Facebook group called Reformed Bibliology. It did not develop sustained participation but served as a precursor to the later work.
  2. August 14, 2015 — Domain registration. The registration record for ConfessionalBibliology.com establishes the .com domain on this date. Domain registration is distinguished from the precise public-launch date unless a separately dated launch record is produced.
  3. 2015 — Twitter account. The Confessional Bibliology Twitter account was also established in 2015.
  4. December 15, 2015 — Facebook group. Chris Thomas created the Confessional Bibliology Facebook group. Facebook’s Group History record identifies December 15, 2015 as the group’s creation date.
  5. February 27, 2016 — Independent contemporary evidence. Jeff Riddle published Word Magazine #48: Conversation with Chris Thomas. The surviving program record independently connects Chris Thomas with the Confessional Bibliology work at this early date.
  6. March 28, 2016 — Archived publication record. The site archive preserves “Welcome to the Revolution” under Chris Thomas’s byline.
  7. 2016–present — Continuing publication. Later milestones are added only when supported by stable article URLs, archived mastheads, screenshots, announcements, or editorial records.

What “Confessional Bibliology” Means Here

Confessional bibliology is the belief and study of Holy Scripture from a confessional Reformed perspective. It treats Scripture as God-breathed, self-attesting, infallible, sufficient, canonical, and providentially preserved. Historical and textual methods serve under Scripture and the Reformed confessions; they do not function as a higher court over God’s Word.

Movement and Publication

The phrase also describes a broader theological movement involving many writers, pastors, churches, and readers. Neither ConfessionalBibliology.com nor any other website owns that broader movement. Each publication is responsible for its own leadership, doctrinal formulations, editorial judgments, and published material.

Clarification for Readers

Readers should be aware that ConfessionalBibliology.com and ConfessionalBibliology.org are separate publications. The Confessional Bibliology work was founded by Chris Thomas in 2015, and ConfessionalBibliology.com is its official publication website. The later .org website is independently owned and edited and does not represent this publication.
