Purpose of the Audiobook Collection
This collection points readers to lawful audio editions of Reformed confessions, theology, sermons, commentaries, and works concerning Holy Scripture. Its purpose is access and study, especially for readers who benefit from listening or cannot use a scanned edition comfortably.
Record Requirements
Each audiobook record should identify the author, title, reader or producer, source edition when known, duration, completeness, hosting source, rights status, and whether a transcript or text edition is available. Abridgment, modernization, and omitted preliminary matter must be disclosed.
Textual Reliability
An audiobook is a performance of an edition, not the edition itself. Readers should consult the linked text when exact wording, pagination, Greek, Hebrew, footnotes, or citations matter. Modernized readings should not silently be represented as diplomatic transcriptions.
Rights and Endorsement
Only authorized streams or downloads should be linked. Public-domain status of an old book does not automatically place a modern recording in the public domain. Inclusion commends the usefulness of the specific recording for its stated purpose, not every work of its host.
