Privacy Policy
A plain-language statement governing information collected through this website.
Scope
This policy describes information handled through the public Confessional Bibliology website. It should be reviewed whenever hosting, analytics, forms, newsletter, embedded-media, security, or download services change. It does not create claims about a service that has not been enabled.
Information Collected Automatically
The web server and security systems may record an IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, referring page, time, and error or security data. WordPress, the active theme, caching tools, and security services may use cookies or comparable storage required to deliver pages, remember preferences, protect forms, or maintain an authenticated session.
If aggregate analytics is enabled, it may collect usage information such as page views, approximate location, device category, and referral source. The production administrator should identify the enabled analytics provider and its opt-out controls before launch.
Information You Provide
Information may be received when a reader sends email, submits a form, requests a correction, subscribes to publication notices, or supplies a contribution. This can include a name, email address, message, attachments, consent record, and the technical information needed to prevent abuse.
Purposes of Processing
Information is used to operate and secure the site, answer inquiries, administer subscriptions, investigate corrections or rights claims, maintain editorial records, diagnose errors, and comply with legal obligations. It is not sold as a mailing list.
Third-Party Services and Embedded Content
Hosting, email, analytics, newsletter, spam prevention, backups, fonts, audio, video, and embedded documents may be supplied by third parties. An embedded item can allow its provider to receive information as though the visitor had opened that provider's website. Readers may use direct transcript or download alternatives where provided.
Retention and Disclosure
Records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose, security, correction history, rights documentation, or legal obligation. Information may be disclosed to service providers acting for the site, to address a documented legal demand, to protect users and systems, or with the person's consent.
Choices and Requests
Subscribers may use the unsubscribe control supplied with a mailing. A person may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and records that must be retained. Send requests through the Contact page.
Children, Security, and Changes
The site is not directed to collecting personal information from children. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no Internet transmission is guaranteed secure. Material policy changes should be dated and entered in the revision history.
Production Review Required
Before public launch, the responsible editor must verify this policy against the actual hosting, analytics, newsletter, forms, cookie, embedded-media, and backup configuration.
