Below are the books, save one, to be added later, showing the dispute over 1 John 5:7 in the 18th century.  David Martin demonstrates it is Scripture and that without it, there is no verse limiting the Godhead to three persons.  The logical consequence being that there could be an unknown pantheon of gods in the Godhead.  Thomas Emlyn, an Unitarian, naturally argues against it and the logical consequence of rejecting it is demonstrated.
